Conducting an SMC reset (2020 MacBook Air with T2 chip)

 If you find your fan is running constantly, or your Macbook is heating up more than normal, or your time isn't getting set, your computer may need and SMC reset.  To conduct an SMC reset on your MacBook, please do the following:
